Download – Mudcats Blues Trio

August 24, 2012 in Uncategorized

Chris Wragg, guitarist with Sheffield blues-rockers The Mudcats Blues Trio, writes in with news of their debut LP, 'The Tesla Recordings'. Chris has travelled the world honing his craft, touring with the great Buddy Guy and supporting such artists as T Model Ford and Aynsley Lister.

In 2011 he teamed up with the rhythm section of Jon Reed (bass) and Matthew Doxey (drums), who have played together in various outfits overs the years and who compliment Chris‘ fiery blues approach with an injection of rock & roll style groove.

The album contains a judicious mix of solid blues standards and four originals - the guys have kindly offered you, dear readers, a free download (link below picture) of their deft and sensitive instrumental 'Blues for Buddy Guy'. If you like your blues powerful and rocking, The Mudcats Blues Trio could be just what you need.

If you're going to Colne this weekend, see the guys on the British Stage. Watch out for an album review in a forthcoming issue of Blues in Britain, and check out the band on FacebookMySpace and Soundcloud.
