Issue 158 – February 2015

January 31, 2015 in Editorial

BiB_feb_15_coverIn February's  issue we find out from Norma and James Victor what’s been going on in Lucerne and from Bob Chaffey on a weekend in Bournemouth, while we get some background on a new festival happening in Northumberland.
Also this month we have in addition to our usual reviews and guides, an interview with Mark Feltham, harmonica man with Nine Below Zero, and check in with Robin Trower and his new album. Alex Mckown, Crow Black Chicken and Jonathan Nicholas tell us about themselves. We have a chat with Bettye LaVette and her new album Worthy and Roger Cotton tells us about his Roundel Studios. LeBurn Maddox is our Big Picture this month and Harry Simpson is back presenting great blues music on his Still Got The Blues weekly podcasts. There are plenty of gigs to go to up and down the country, but if you’re staying in look at the Independent Blues Broadcasters Radio Guide; there’s a blues show on at most times and you can listen either on your radio, computer or phone via the internet. We list the top fifty artists that they have been playing during 2014 on Page 4 plus much more....

Get out and see some live music and enjoy Yer Blues - all the details are in the gig guide.
