Issue 165 – September 2015

September 1, 2015 in Editorial

In September’s issue we have seven pages of festival reviews and it appears you are all enjoying the music and the good weather. Make sure your gigs or those of your favourite artist or venue are with us by the 5th of the preceding month to publication. In this month’s magazine we talk to UK touring artists Jared James Nichols and re-introduce you to Octavia. Chantel McGregor has a new album out and we find out about the thoughts behind it. We also talk to Rebecca Downes, Robbie McIntosh and Chris Bevington tells us about himself. The regular gig guide has what’s happening in your area in and the IBBA guide, on page 42 covers your radio. Until next month then, go out and see some live music and enjoy yer blues!

    Hi Paul,

A special thanks to you for sharing my musical journey with your readers. A big thanks to Will Drake for a spot-on interview and Derek White of RTB Music Agency and his crankin’ band Storm Warning who were a great back up band for my music and UK tour. I look forward to next years return expansion festival tour both in the UK and Europe. I seek a decent agent with Festival connections for Europe. Please contact:
I will be working with my band on my new release including a favorite tune “Shy One” several other originals and perhaps a cover.
I adore the UK it’s lovely people, gorgeous land, rich history, magic and unicorns. I’ve always felt at home there.
For Octavia Blues Band updates check in at and by all means feel free to leave a comment. I do reply and love hearing from our fans.
The very best to each of you, Octavia
