Issue 166 – October 2015

September 30, 2015 in Editorial

Firstly our congratulations to all the Artists on their British Blues Awards 2015, we have a full list on our centre pages and are particularly proud to be sponsoring the Barry Middleton Memorial Emerging Artist award this year.
As the number of festivals dwindles with the onset of autumn and winter the gig guide springs into life with a great number of well-known acts out on the road many with new albums for you to buy ready for Christmas presents.
Amongst the many touring artists on the road in October are those from abroad, we talk to Bob Malone and in readiness for the BluesFest in November we find out more from Derek Trucks. New albums abound from The Mighty Boss Cats and Storm Warning, read all about them and we introduce you to two bands Southbound and Trident Waters. We also talk to Jo Harman as she releases her album in the States.
In our reviews section we have Festival reports from Irish and Scottish festivals and the Club feature looks at The Borough Blues Club in Wales. Find out what’s happening in your area in the next six weeks in the gig guide
Enjoy the read and get out and see some live music, until next month – Enjoy Yer Blues!
