Issue 170 – February 2016

February 1, 2016 in Editorial

binb_feb-16-cover-webI hope our front cover didn't startle you. In this issue we find out about two clubs one doing well in Corby and a new one for Hereford. New albums abound at this time of year, so we talk to Kyla Brox about hers. Ever wondered what was behind the harp players' hands? - Greg Heumann makes wooden microphones for the big name harp players, tells us all about it. Sugarman Sam & The Voodoo Men who put on a great show at Skegness and garnered the most votes on Friday's Introducing stage, will return next year on the main stage, tell us all about themselves and we introduce you to Cowboy Hat & That Fuzzbox Voodoo and Andy Gunn. Our cover girl Zoe Schwarz has a new album on the way and JD Simo will be coming here on tour - read all about them in this issue. We've also caught up with The Mentulls. We start a new feature on playing Acoustic Blues Guitar, while Liam takes a look at the forthcoming events for harmonica players. We also manage to squeeze in live and album reviews and your usual guides to gigs, festivals and radio.
Until next month, enjoy the read, get out and see some live music and Enjoy Yer Blues!
