Issue 193 – January 2018

December 28, 2017 in Editorial, Uncategorized

A happy and prosperous new year to you all. We look forward to bringing you all the latest news, reviews and interviews in the coming year.
To start the year we
continue our feature on Spotify, bring you reviews, from the highest number of contributors we’ve ever had, of the gigs that you went to late last year up and down the country and we review many of the new album releases.
New beginnings are afoot with BabaJack and we find out about their future plans. We talk to Eddie Martin about his blues career and James Litherland about his musical history and current album. Bare Hunter, a three piece from London, write to introduce themselves and explain about their musical direction.

If you follow social media you’ll know that people can get very serious about their blues music, so to lighten the path we have a new feature to start this year with a satirical look at the scene from Plunger and a cartoon from Mark Cowie.

We have our regular comprehensive gig and festival guides and for those listening at home or on the move, check out the Radio Guide starting on page 42 which contains a list of Blues Radio shows.
Until next month, get out and see some live music and enjoy yer blues.
