Issue 194 – February 2018

January 30, 2018 in Editorial, Uncategorized

In February’s issue we continue our feature on Spotify, bring you reviews of the gigs that you’ve been to up and down the country, and we review many of the new album releases.

Overseas artists are starting to visit the UK for a tour and promote their new albums, so we find out the details from Jared James Nichols, Josh Smith and Dan Patlansky. New albums are also now available from Auld Man’s Baccie and Ian Siegal and we talk to both of them. J Lee and The Hoodoo Skulls formed in 2016 and they introduce themselves this month.

To lighten the blues world we continue with a satirical look at the scene from Plunger and a blues cartoon from Mark Cowie.

We have our regular comprehensive gig and festival guides and for those listening at home or on the move, check out the Radio Guide starting on page 42 which contains a list of Blues Radio shows.
Until next month, get out and see some live music and enjoy yer blues.
