Issue 196 – April 2018

March 29, 2018 in Editorial, Uncategorized

In the magazine this month we have a chat with Eric Gales who is making a few appearances here in the UK. Our other interviews are with home-grown artists: Errol Linton and Kris Barras who both have new albums to play to you as they gig around the country. Catfish had a successful run of dates in The Netherlands and some of you dashed across the North Sea to Bruges for a Rock n Roll Cruise. We bring you news of The HardChargers from Northern Ireland, a new young gun on the block by the name of Connor Selby, while DoubleCross introduce themselves and we report on the Americana awards.

Choosing which festival(s) to attend can be difficult for those who like to travel around the country. We thought we’d find out a bit more about Colne and Jane Edwards investigates while Plunger takes a wry look. We have gig and album reviews. The comprehensive gig and festival guides continue to grow and if you’re staying in and listening to your blues on the radio, then our IBBA Radio Guide will assist you.

Until next month, get out and see some live music and enjoy yer blues.
