Issue 197 – May 2018

April 30, 2018 in Editorial

We have an update on the Edinburgh Blues scene this month while Plunger takes a wry look at the phrase ‘Raw & Dirty’. We missed getting Angel Forrest into the magazine last month while she was on tour here from Canada, but thought we should feature her, so that she’ll get plenty of bookings for next year. This month we have a chat with Danny Bryant and Trevor Steger, both of whom have released new albums and will be appearing the length and breadth of the country. Peter French has been in the business for 40 years and Trevor Hodgett looks back and also finds out what the future holds for Peter. The Cinelli Brothers introduce themselves.

We have gig and album reviews. The comprehensive gig and festival guides continue to grow and if you’re staying in and listening to your blues on the radio, then our IBBA Radio Guide will assist you.

Until next month, get out and see some live music and enjoy yer blues.
