Issue 216 – December 2019

December 1, 2019 in Editorial, Uncategorized

In this month’s magazine we hear from Seth Rosenbloom who is coming to play here for the first time from the USA. Albany Down are back on the road as a three piece and we catch up with their frontman Phil Turley. The Blind Lemon Gators are a new flavour from established bluesers resident north of the border. The Big Picture is back and we take a rare view inside Barry’s famous Blues Barn. Austin Gold have a new digital and vinyl release now available, so we find out more in a brief chat. Meanwhile Marco Cinelli and Danny del Toro introduce themselves this month as they release an album of new songs in the ‘Delta’ style.

On the good news front we bring you details about new blues clubs in Diseworth and at the Tropic in Ruislip as well as an extension to the Saltburn Blues Club with their Balmoral Acoustic Blues Club

Gigs are a little sparse over the Christmas period but more and more festival dates and line-ups are being confirmed and early bird ticket offers represent good value. Talking of good value, remember our Christmas subscription offer on the inside back cover. As usual we have your reviews of gigs and festivals, whilst our Radio Guide starts on Page 42.

Enjoy the read and get out and see some live music.

Enjoy Yer Blues!
