Issue 221 – May 2020

April 30, 2020 in Editorial, News Flash, Uncategorized

In addition to our eight full pages of new album reviews, this month we talk to The Bad Day Blues Band, The John Doe Trio and Cherry Lee Mewis about their latest releases. Shaun, continues blowin’ up a storm with his Harmonica and investigates learning online and Ashley Sherlock introduces himself.

As we said last month, album reviews and radio shows will feature in the way forward, Paul Long tells us about the IBBA (Independent Blues Broadcasters Association) and his thoughts on presenting blues shows.

Our Gig & Festival Guides take on a new look as we optimistically list the gigs, from June onwards, that are currently hoping to still carry on as we go to press. Artists still need an income, so if you were going to see an artist during the month, get along to their website and buy a CD or a T-shirt.

Until next month, keep healthy and enjoy yer blues at home!
