Issue 223 – July 2020

June 29, 2020 in Editorial, Uncategorized

This month we have eight full pages of new album reviews for you and we talk to Bad Touch, Eliza Neals and Stephen Dale Petit, all of whom should have been touring, in support of their new releases. Talking of which, Dion has a new blues album too, we get the lowdown. Multi-award winner, Elles Bailey is our featured cover artist this month and we look at the interesting career of Dave Thomas. Our club, this month is St Lawrence’s in Caterham, an unusual one in that it is an old church. The JT4tet introduce themselves and we catch up with Chasin’ The Train who introduced themselves back in September 2018. The Gig & Festival Guides continue in their new look as we optimistically list the gigs from September onwards and festivals from August.

Musicians continue to be innovative and many online events and concerts are happening, so we report on them in our usual gig reviews section.

Artists still need an income, so if you were going to see an artist during the month, get along to their website and buy a CD or a T-shirt.

Until next month, keep healthy and enjoy yer blues at home!
