Issue 225 – September 2020

August 31, 2020 in Editorial, Uncategorized

This month we continue with masses of album reviews. We talk to Johnny Bird, Mike Wheeler, Jim Kirkpatrick, Félix Rabin, John Németh, Kim Simmonds and Malaya Blue most of whom have new album releases and should have been touring this month. We look back on John Verity’s 50 years in the business.
The Washboard Resonators and Geiger von Müller introduce themselves. We have not listed gigs for September until the situation clarifies itself but the Festival Guide continues into 2021. Trev Turley ponders on the music that influenced your life choices, whilst Richard Townend talks about touring in Russia and we find that some music, in the vaults, from Tony Jezzard is resurrected.
Until next month, keep healthy and enjoy yer blues wherever you find it.
